Meltdown is a feature length Zombie/Sci-Fi/Comedy that is a stylistic mix of Clerks, Shaun of the Dead and the Road Warrior. Meltdown follows Zeke, Callie, Les and Hunter on the eve of Hunter's 29th birthday as they share in a few drinks on a seemingly dull day in their hometown of Somerset, PA. The day takes a turn for the worse as everyone they have ever known are suddenly transformed into aggressively murderous flesh eating freaks. The four comrades are forced to hack and slash their way through the reanimated corpses of their closest friends and loved ones, only to find themselves on the precipice of a post-apocalyptic wasteland littered with monsters and the looming threat of their fellow survivors.

OK so we have a full length film written and directed by Jacob O'Brien Mulliken and it didn't disappoint. I Really enjoyed it. The first part of the film i thought was an 80s horror flick/ shaun of the dead hybrid. Which is a killer film as you all know, But back on point. The special effects in Meltdown were well done and you could tell that some of the original zombie classics were influential in the making of Meltdown. So hats off to that right out of the gate. great great stuff.

a little bit on the story, basically we've got Hunter, who like many men, is madly in love with one of the worst possible candidates for a girlfriend I've ever seen. He of course doesn't care that she is sleeping around and wants to marry her. Meanwhile, Callie, played masterfully by Alicia Marie Marcucci, is ready willing and able to take this chicks place but Hunter just doesn't see it that way.... This pretty much had Mrs' Rabbit and myself shaking our heads at the TV and calling Hunter a dumb ass. That however is what good writing and good acting is supposed to do, suck you into the story and give you a whole host of emotions. Well done everyone. Kudos for sure.

In between all this drama we have a Zombie apocalypse starting and soon our characters are in a fight for their lives. Guts, gore, zombies and more, just check out Meltdown if you get the chance. its pretty cool stuff.
